Follow Your Dreams

The Little In Jen That Could, From a Wild Flower

This post is part of a 30 day writing challenge from the September series of  “From a Wild Flower” . Today’s prompt was “Share a Tip”.

Here is my tip: Don’t let insecurities stand in the way of you following your dreams.

I know, its so much easier said than done. Its so easy to get consumed in our pessimism or self doubt and second guess ourselves. The fear of the unknown is such a dark demon. For the longest time, I was self conscious to share my thoughts, my experiences, my work with people because I thought it would be nothing more than a burden to them. I pictured people just scrolling past my posts on feeds while rolling their eyes and wondering why I am wasting my time. (Which I’m sure still happens.) I felt guilty by promoting my blog because I figured people would either look at me like a used car salesman or dissect parts of my life that I wasn’t ready to display.

But one day I decided to put myself out there. To become as transparent as morally possible. To just write.

And then, something strange happened. I got support not only from friends and family, but from strangers. People sending me messages saying I helped them or inspired them in some way. It motivated me to continue writing, and even inspired new topics to write about.

I write all this warm fluffiness to basically share one message- follow your dreams. Follow your heart. Whatever and wherever your goals are, pursue them. By whatever means necessary, take action and start somewhere. There will be naysayers, haters, and skeptics, but no one’s critique matters more than your own.

Who knows what dreams may come when you just… let go. Darling, follow that dream.

    Hey Jen!
I just found your blogs and I’m glad I found it. It started by looking up reviews for Camille Rose Naturals Coconut water
Style setter. Our hair simular properties to be honest the exact same properties. My hair literally Hates Thick Products and I prefer a curl cream verses gels. I could look at your hair and I knew it was low porosity before me I read your summer 2015 regimine and you saying your were low porosity plus on top of that our curl pattern is “almost the same”. Keep the reviews coming. I love them. God bless!

Thank you so much Cece!! Yaay, I love finding my hair relatives! Lol. Creams over gel anyday. I’m on a cream styler kick right now, I have a few more on my list to try. Hopefully my review was of some help for you… let me know how you like the Style Setter if you try it! I’m so happy you found my blog too, thank you for reading and taking the time to comment! Have an amazing day today!
