Gemini Naturals: You’ll Love This Temporary Hair Color Gel

Hey adventure seekers! I’m guessing you’re here because you want to add a little spice to your natural hair, and trust me– this is a ride you’ll want to take! When OG Natural Hair Influencer Lianne (founder of Gemini Naturals) came out with a line of temporary hair color gel, I KNEW I would be trying it!

I purchased the COBALT blue color. I placed my order at like 2am one morning, and mistakenly put two blue jars in my cart instead of a blue and Gold that I had my eyes on. Nonetheless, I was happy to support and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. It arrived shortly after I placed my order and of course I tried on my kids’ hair immediately. The first thing that I noticed is how vibrant and shiny the color is.

When I tell you THIS COLOR CREAM IS SO VIBRANT AND BEAUTIFUL, I mean it. Just look at it.

I love that this temporary hair color gel isn’t full of harmful ingredients and gunk that will just lay on your hair and make it “look” pretty. Gemini Naturals has brought us a fun way to add fun and spice to our hairstyles using products that are all natural, vegan, and chemical free!

This gel was SO MUCH FUN. I applied it to my hair while it was stretched and dry, but because I added a gel first– let’s say that my hair was semi-damp. I noticed immediately that it is light enough to be build-able but rich and pigmented enough to give you nice results even if you applied a little. I will add however, that I did not use this with the Gemini Naturals primer, which is recommended. I think next time I will try the primer as well, to see if it sticks to my hair for a little longer.

Keep in mind, this is a temporary hair color gel, so it WILL transfer.

Luckily, it will wash off with soap and water, but just be prepared for color transfer every time you touch/style your hair. I wore dark colors so I cannot speak to the amount of transfer it may or may not add to your clothes but I imagine that if you are caught in the rain in a light colored shirt, it won’t be pretty. Even considering this though, after I rinsed my hair in the shower a few days after application, I noticed that rinsing the product wasn’t as messy as I anticipated it would be. I was expecting my shower to look like I slaughtered a smurf, but aside from a few smears on the wall, I just saw drips of light blue making it’s way down my shoulders and body. Clean up was a breeze and it didn’t do any more harm than water colors or bath paint would do (of course I had to throw in that mom analogy huh?)

All in all, I love the idea of coloring my hair without the damage. Especially because I know I’ll want to switch it up and try different colors depending on my mood.

Which color should I try next?
